DeCecco Penne lisce are a specialty from Campania and belong to the short, smooth pasta cuts. They are 1.456″ long, between 0.047″ – 0.050″ thick, with a 0.334″ diameter. The ideal sauce for penne is meat ragù: of pork, veal, or sausage, such as in mostaccioli. This pasta also pairs well with stew or a heavy mushroom sauce.
