Roland Wild Rice is a naturally grown wild rice from Minnesota. It has a dark brown to black color. It is the grain of aquatic grass that grows in the old glacial lakes of Northern Minnesota.
Stir rice into boiling water (one part rice to three parts water) and boil for five minutes. Remove from heat and allow to stand for one hour (if adding complements, keep simmering, covered, until kernels are open and tender, then add complements). Drain rice and cook as directed in recipe. Enjoy!
